Définition :
Chaleur totale acquise par un bâtiment en provenance du rayonnement solaire ou d'une autre source de chaleur externe ou interne (par exemple éclairages, occupants) qui ne fait pas partie du système de chauffage du bâtiment.
Note :
La chaleur gratuite ne peut contribuer à des économies d'énergie que si le système de régulation de température du bâtiment est prévu pour prendre en compte un tel gain de chaleur.
