Date :Définition
A bar to which point leads are attached across the lace-making width of the machine. There are two point bars, one at the front and one at the back of the machine. Each bar moves alternately so that its points enter between the warp and pattern threads and the bobbin threads just above the carriages and take up the crossed threads and then hold the lace just below the facing bar while the points of the other bar perform a similar action. Their action completes the formation of the lace and resembles the beating-up action of the reed in weaving.
