In this method of working the operator at the incoming international exchange always acts as an interpreter between the operator in the outgoing exchange and the called subscribers. b) Direct manual demand working. In this method of working the operator in the outgoing exchange speaks with the called subscriber direct. B. Semi-automatic demand service: This service, in general, involves the automatic setting-up of the connection between the operator in the outgoing exchange and the called subscriber.
