Prélèvement qui, dans l'intention du législateur, est destiné à être transféré par une personne (ou une entreprise) à d'autres personnes (ou d'autres entreprises).
Note :
Les impôts indirects peuvent être établis sur certains objets de consommation au moment de leur production, de leur circulation, etc., et n'atteignent le consommateur qu'indirectement. En règle générale, ils ne comportent pas l'établissement de rôles nominatifs.

A tax demanded and received from a taxpayer with the expectation and intention that the taxpayer will be reimbursed for the tax by passing it on another, either directly or indirectly, as a part of the selling price of the goods or services.
Note :
Indirect taxes generally include excise and customs duties, and "taxes levied on the production or sale of commodities before reaching the final consumer, and which ultimately are paid by the letter as a part of the selling price".
