Impulsion unidirectionnelle définie par les expressions : y = K sin2(pt/2T) pour 0 = t/2T et y = 0 pour t > 0 et t < 2T, où K est l'amplitude maximale, 2T est la largeur de l'impulsion (T est la largeur de l'intervalle au cours duquel la grandeur caractéristique de l'impulsion est supérieure à K/2), t est le temps.
