The main characteristic of the incense-burner is the fenestrated wall of the body of the vessel. There are two main types : 1) a high, mostly fenestrated cylindrical stand topped by a bowl, the two made in one piece, 2) stands of a similar form, but with the two parts made separately and therefore very rarely found together.
