Note :

Date :Note :
Heating an electrically conducting material with currents induced by a varying electromagnetic field. The material to be heated is effectively a secondary coil within the inductor which is the primary coil. High coil currents are used to induce maximum eddy currents in the material to be heated so high rates of heating are obtained. Induction heating finds wide application in the metallurgical industries and has several advantages over conventional heating methods. Heating is rapid because the material itself is heated directly; it can be localized by adjusting the size of the inductor coil; it can be set up quickly so reducing start up times and down time and it lends itself to automation; it is controlled easily giving consistently high quality products and is clean, fune free and also be energy conserving and many companies are involved in installing and developing new equipment.
