A cornerstone of the Marxist philosophy. It holds that the inevitable struggle between the capitalists (owners of the means of production) and the proletariat (the non-propertied wage earner) will lead to the downfall of the capitalist and establishment of a classless society.
According to Marxist theory, an irreconcilable class between the bourgeoisie (capitalist class) and the proletariat (working class), arising out the surplus value that capitalists appropriate from workers.Note :
Some trade unions premise their policies on the existence of the class struggle and the ultimate control by the workers through the dictatorship of the proletariat.
