A consciously contrived large group of people, made up of patients and staff, to which both patients and staff are expected to relate for therapeutic purposes to the maximum degree possible, rather than to individual therapists.
Note :
Can be looked on as an extension of the therapeutic community concept, but is rarely used (and often considered as a synonym of "therapeutic community").
