Intervalle de temps compris entre un instant significatif de la modulation et l'instant significatif correspondant de la restitution.
Note :
En général, le terme se rapporte seulement aux systèmes classiques de télégraphie employant le code Morse (ou ses variantes) ou des codes à moments tels que le code à 5 moments et plus particulièrement aux systèmes comportant des appareils télégraphiques où les signaux télégraphiques sont automatiquement produits dans l'émetteur et automatiquement traduits dans le récepteur en caractères imprimés ou en toute autre information appropriée.
