Définition :
Pêne dont la tête taillée en biseau, en saillie sur la têtière, s'efface à la fermeture ou se déplace (serrure à crochet, Fig. 18), pour s'engager automatiquement dans la gâche, assurant ainsi une immobilisation constante. L'ouverture par retrait ou déplacement du pêne s'obtient par l'action d'un bouton, d'une béquille ou d'une clé; l'action de l'organe de manœuvre cessant, le pêne reprend sa position primitive.
