Définition :
Les aphasies transcorticales que décrivent Lichtheim, Wernicke et Goldstein sont des aphasies résultant d'une interruption entre les fibres d'association d'un centre du langage et d'un centre de fonction mentale non verbal. Certains auteurs dont Pierre Marie et Moutier considèrent ces aphasies comme des troubles de tout l'intellect. La répétition est préservée.

Transcortical aphasias recognized by Lichtheim, Wernicke and Goldstein are considered to be aphasias resulting from an interruption in the pathways between a non-language mental function and a speech center. Some authors such as Pierre Marie and Moutier consider these aphasias to be general intellectual disorders. Repetition remains normal.
