A eutrophic humus form which consists principally of a blackish or dark-grey mixture of mineral substance with mechanically decomposed, finely divided, constantly enriched, well humified, excretal remains of aquatic animals.
A mixture of mineral particles and organic matter in which occur numerous very gradual transitions from very dark, opaque amorphous material to very light brown transparent material: the contours are often very indistinct. The bond with the mineral soil particles is fairly weak.Termes :
