Notes :
« Un sillon circulaire /.../ court sur la face triturante de la dent, à un ou deux millimètres du bord libre. Il enchatonne les quatre cuspides, qui paraissent étranglées. Celles-ci peuvent être atrophiées, jaunâtres, plus ou moins érodées /.../. La dent est tronconique. Elle a la forme d'un bouton floral. »

Essentially, there is a reduction in the mesiodistal dimension of the teeth affected. /.../ The first molar teeth are narrowed and may have numerous rounded cuspal structures on the occlusal surface. The appearance resembles a mulberry so these teeth have been called mulberry molars.
Moon's molar is the name given to the characteristic syphilitic lesion of the posterior teeth, of which the first molar is usually the most noticeably affected. /.../ In extreme cases, the hypoplastic enamel may be represented merely by spherical aggregates, or globules upon the surface of the dentin, from which the alternative name of "mulberry molars" is derived.Termes :
