Distribution de fréquence discrète qui, lorsqu'un événement a seulement deux éventualités possibles (parfois nommées succès et non succès), chacune avec des probabilités d'occurrence fixées, donne la probabilité du nombre de succès dans un nombre donné d'essais indépendants de l'événement.

A discrete frequency distribution which, when a chance event has only two possible outcomes (often termed "success" and "failure"), each with fixed probabilities of occurring, gives the probabilities of the number of successes in a given number of independent trials of the event.
Notes :
A binomial experiment consists of independent trials, where the outcome of each trial is either "success" or "failure", and where the probability of success is the same for each trial. The number of successes of the experiment has a binomial distribution.
