Date :Définition
A refractory mixture, used in the wet or plastic state for making and sealing joints and as a covering material. There are several varieties, but all of them consist basically of a non-plastic refractory grog mixed with a plasticiser such as clay. Usually the refractoriness is developed only on heating the mixture, but if water-glass, phosphoric acid or Portland cement be added the cement will harden sufficiently on air-drying.
