Date :Définition
An intended line or partial cut in paper, metal or other material to aid in folding or tearing.
Note :
In a folding carton, two types of scores are used: 1. folding score in which the fibres are compressed but not cut, to insure that a fold or bend takes place on the score line; 2. tearing score in which the fibres are cut approximately half way through the board to permit tearing along the core line. In set-up paper boxes, scores are cut half through the board but corners formed at the score are usually reinforced by gummed paper stays.
