An amplifier that is used in the feeder line to increase the strength of the RF signals in order to extend the length of the feeder line beyond the point where the RF signal strength is too low to install a subscriber tap.
Note :
If it is necessary for the feeder line to extend beyond the point where the RF signal from the bridging amplifier has become too low for the installation of tap, a line extender-amplifier must be installed. This amplifier raises the RF signal back to a level high enough for it to continue farther on the feeder cable.

- line-extender amplifier
- line extender amplifier
- extension amplifier
